The Students' Union of the best State University in Nigeria LASU respectfully appreciate the doggedness, dexterity and statesmanship displayed by Gov Akinwunmi Ambode towards his promise for a better and a free crisis LASU.
The Students' Union had before now, written plethora of letters to the office of the Governor and several meetings with LASU Management, notifying them that after the settlement of the crises of the staff unions, they should avoid any brouhaha from the students angle by paying our refund. Thus, we asserted to the extent of disclosing to them in our letters and meetings that, we would boycott exams if our refund is not made available as quickly as possible.
The Vice Chancellor in his magnanimity promised to be a good and a consistent avenue towards channeling our plight to the Govt with regards to the issue of refund.
The Students' Union of LASU has made several efforts towards ensuring the payment of the excess school fees paid by our members before the school fees reversal. We understood the fact that some of the refund had been paid, but it's the remaining, left unpaid that we agitated for, threatening to boycott exams if it's not paid.
Greatest LASUites, it's with a great pleasure that we inform all LASuites that it has been confirmed beyond ambiguity that, the remaining refund will be paid on or before Friday 12th June, 2015.
Therefore, we urge all affected LASUites to be calm as the refund will be paid soonest.
