LASU CAMPUS BEAUTIFICATION: MANAGEMENT COMPENSATES AFFECTED FARMERS

The Lagos State University Management has compensated the Eleven (11) peasant farmers whose farms were affected by the beautification of the University at the Iba gate before the just concluded 20th Convocation Ceremonies. The University Management doled out a sum of One Hundred and Ten Thousand Naira to the concerned farmers.
Presenting the token amount of compensation to the farmers on behalf of the University Management, the Registrar, Mr. Lewis Akinwunmi Oladapo, recalled that the University’s Beautification Committee (UBC) had to clear some of the farms in order to give the Institution a face lift. “...The University Management has decided to compensate the farmers whose vegetable gardens were affected”, the Registrar said.
The beneficiaries of the Management’s kind gesture include:

Beaming with smile, one of the recipients, Mr. Haruna Alli appreciated the University Management for the financial support towards their livelihood and prayed for a continued growth and development of Lagos State University.

Members of Staff of the Parks and Gardens Unit in attendance include: Mr. Isabiyi Julius A. [Head], and Mr. Akinyele Simeon.
