The LASG under the leadership of Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode today at the governors' office inaugurated security equipments and handed over to the Nigeria police, Lagos State command. The minister for interior, Gen. Abdul-Rahman Danbazau represented president Muhammadu Buhari at the event and did the official launching.
This gesture was in response to series of security breaches in the state lately, notable among them are incessant robbery in traffic, the Festac bank robbery and more recently the bank robbery at Agbara, a border town between Lagos and Ogun State.
