PATRIOTISM IS KEY

Fellow Nigerians of strong patriotism, carefully and objectively read the write up below, then make your decisions concerning the March 2015 election.

Let us assume NIGERIA is a University named “WAZOBIA  University” and the citadel is made up of staff, students and the larger environment made up of various tribes in Nigeria: Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba, Itsekirir, Ijaw, Issoko, Urhobo, Kaba, Kanuri, and so on.

The citadel had elected by majority votes (assumed) a Vice Chancellor who is from the South South  region of the nation. During the six(6) year reign of the said VC, the University had witnessed economic downturn, chaos, downtool of staff activities, non profit yielding ventures, close down of plants, killings of staff, student and other community members of the citadel of learning, also certificates issued by the school had lost value, result of so many students, current and past are missing, the power of unionism had been so weakened (that it had now become a toothless bulldog) during the leadership of the VC. The chaos of death, abductions, bombings, had been suffered majorly by the Hausa speaking members of the community.

A school of thought and the VC himself believe the Hausa community had always been at the helm of affairs of the school since inception and are not happy to have the power relinquished. Thus, this school of thought including the VC believe that Wazobia University environment had been made insecure, unhealthy and unfriendly for the community members, the suspects especially are the prominent Hausa leadership.

Now the opportunity to elect another VC is here, equal opportunity is given to all the qualified members of each tribe to be elected. However some schools of thought believe the equal opportunity was subjectively handled at the primaries giving birth to two(2) major competing aspirants for two powerful tribes in the school, one is the incumbent VC and the other from the Hausa community.

To the incumbent VC re-election will give him the opportunity to make good all the suffering of the community members either due to his own few human errors or the evil cabals frustrating his administration. To him, failure is not determined by mere short comings, inability to move on and improve on past errors is failure.

So to avoid being a failure and prove to the entire community of Wazobia that he is capable, he is desperate to run for a second term in office.

But analytically, if the real or suspected brains behind all the calamities of Wazobia University are the Hausa in the Academic environment, the tribes Yoruba, Igbo, and so on should have ensured that someone from their tribe would run for the seat but rather the Yoruba’s, Igbo’s and others have all agreed to bring forth just one candidate from the Hausa tribe who is knowledgeable, intelligent, religious, and highly enlightened politician.
