The Chancellor of the Lagos State University, Sir Chief Dr.
Molade Okoya-Thomas FCNA, MFR, OFR, KSS has passed on. He was expected at his
office today until his death was announced today.
Sir Molade Okoya-Thomas
was the major sponsor of the
famous Asoju Oba Cup – a table tennis competition.
A Prominent industrialist, sports philanthropist and Chairman of
CFAO group in Nigeria died in the early hours of (today) Monday.
The billionaire business man was born in Lagos on 8 June 1935 and
obtained his formal education at Princess School Lagos, Baptist
Academy Lagos, Balham & Tooting College of Commerce London
and Columbia University New York. Until his death, he was the Asoju Oba of
Lagos, Bobasuwa of Ijebu-Remo, and Odofin of Ife.
He died at the age of 79, few months to his 80th birthday.
